According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the St. Louis Rams really want running back Steven Jackson back for the 2013 season and Jackson wants to play in St. Louis.
“When the Rams allowed Steven Jackson to void that final year of his contract and give up $7 million for the 2013 season, I think so many of us assumed that Steven Jackson has played his last down for the Rams when the 2012 season ended,” said Rapoport.
“Now based on the way he finished the season averaging a hundred yards from scrimmage over the final eight games, he wants to be back with the Rams, and it seems that the Rams really want him back too. They have meeting scheduled with Steven Jackson this week.”
I think the Rams and Jackson want him to finish his career in St. Louis. I believe both sides have a good chance at working out a fair contract for both sides.
