Running back Ryan Grant is returning to the Green Bay Packers to help shore up a position where they've been hard hit by injuries. Grant indicated that he would be back with the team, ESPN.com reported Wednesday. The Packers didn't sign the veteran during the offseason. Instead, they went with former Cincinnati running back Cedric Benson, who is injured and out for the season. The Packers also may have lost running back James Starks for an extended period because of a toe injury. Reports indicated Tuesday that Starks could be placed in season-ending injured reserve. Starks picked up the Packers' running game last season when Grant was on injured reserve.
