Columbus Blue Jackets press release: COLUMBUS, OHIO Todd Richards has been named head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets, the National Hockey League club announced today. Richards, who served as the clubs interim head coach over the final 41 games of the 2011-12 season, has agreed to a two-year contract through the 2013-14 season.The Blue Jackets will hold a press conference with Richards, Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson and Senior Advisor, Hockey Operations Craig Patrick today at 1 p.m. at Nationwide Arena.
