Andre Rienzo did so well-being his first outing. He did get into a couple of jams and the Indians made him pay. He will be a good pitcher for us with time and experience.
Jake Peavy has been traded to the Boston Red Sox. The battle of the Sox Drawer had just become more interesting.
BEST OF MAXIM
Cleveland, OH -- Justin Masterson continued his season-long dominance of Chicago and Ryan Raburn hit two home runs as the Cleveland Indians beat the White Sox, 6-1, to earn a four-game sweep.
The sweep was the Tribe's second four-game sweep of the White Sox this season. The Indians have now won eight games in a row and 11 in a row at home, moving them to a season-high 12...
Now it's time for the fifth part in this series where I hope to show just what a crazy talent Carlos Santana has become. I know a lot of people see the batting average and bad defense and think he is just an average player, but any team in baseball would love to have him. There is no doubt that he is a top five player at his position.
For references, here are links to the...
The Clippers are staying afloat with a solid month of July where they went a respectable 16-15. Their starting pitching lead by Danny Salazar, Trevor Bauer and Daisuke Matsuzaka continues to be a bright spot for the team. The offense is sporadic, having big games at times and then going completely cold so Columbus definitely needs more consistency from that aspect.
In the past...
Jason Giambi is the most dangerous .194 hitter alive.
Giambi pinch-hitting to lead off the ninth inning homered to give the Indians a 3-2 victory over the White Sox on Monday night at Progressive Field.
It was Giambi's ninth career walkoff homer and 10th pinch-hit blast. According to Elias Sports Bureau Giambi became the oldest player in major-league history to hit a walk-off...
COLUMBUS- The Columbus Clippers defeated the Buffalo Bisons 3-2 Wednesday night by taking advantage of an early lead made in the first inning. Columbus’ pitching staff was what shined Wednesday night though with a win, two holds, and a save to show for it.
The Clippers offense came into the first inning hot, jumping on Buffalo starter Chien-Ming Wang. Tim Fedroff led off drawing...
I always enjoy videos like this. The ones where a baseball player is giving a TV interview and his teammates begin to mess with him. Usually it involves throwing sunflower seeds, cups, sticking cups to the persons head and similar things. It shows that this is still a game and meant to be fun.
Well, last night Justin Masterson of the Cleveland Indians was the recipient of such...

Carlos Santana's leadoff home run in the 10th inning gave the Cleveland Indians their seventh straight win, a 6-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night.

Monday night we spotlighted the contrast in walk off calls between a depressed Hawk Harrelson and jubilant Tom Hamilton after Jason Giambi's walk off winner for the Tribe.
Wouldn't you know Wednesday night it happened again. This time Carlos Santana hit the game winning home run in extra innings for Cleveland in a 6-5 victory.
Let's get the bad news out of the...
