Colorado Rockies outfielder Dexter Fowler completed an important step yesterday in his recovery from a right hand injury. Fowler has resumed swinging, as he took dry cuts yesterday afternoon, according to Thomas Harding of MLB.com. Considering Fowler is dealing with a hand injury, swinging is the final stage of his rehab before he’s cleared to return or begin a minor league rehab assignment. While dry swings are an important step, Fowler still has to progress to the point where he’s able to complete batting practice without issue before he’s able to rejoin the Rockies or sent out on his rehab stint. At this point, manager Walt Weiss isn’t sure if Fowler will require time in the minors before rejoining the team. The outfielder is eligible to return from the disabled list on Thursday when the team opens a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Rockies are missing their center fielder. Over 304 plate appearances, Fowler hit .291/.390/.473 with 13 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 12 stolen bases in 14 attempts. Follow @mlbinjurynews Looking for fantasy baseball advice?
