GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Being a Super Bowl champion and NFL Most Valuable Player in Wisconsin now may come with an additional accolade: having a day named in your honor. The Wisconsin state Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution to call Dec. 12, 2012, Aaron Rodgers Day. The resolution has now been sent to the state Senate. In the 2010 season, Rodgers who wears No. 12 -- led the Green Bay Packers to their first Super Bowl victory in 14 years. He followed that up in 2011 with an NFL-record quarterback rating and the league's MVP award. A Stevens Point, Wis., woman, Jennifer Brilowski, began a grassroots campaign for a 121212 Aaron Rodgers Day last December on her Facebook page, and the idea quickly built momentum. Tuesday morning on Milwaukee's WTMJ radio, she said she never contacted a politician about doing anything official with her idea. "I contacted no one," she said. "I'm clueless, actually. I'm going to explore that today to find out how that actually happened. It took on a life of its own." Brilowski's page already has thousands of likes from all over the world, but her most important goal is to raise money for one of Rodgers' favorite charities, the MACC Fund, which fights childhood cancer. "I said, 'OK, this is going to be big, How are we going to make a difference with it?' " Brilowski told the radio station. "After learning more about Aaron Rodgers through the page, I've decided to set up a fundraising page for the MACC Fund, and I'll be doing that over the weekend, so we can raise some money to fight childhood cancer."
