Super Bowl parties in the host city have become big business. They stuff them with celebrities, models, probably strippers in some cases, plenty of booze and then charge people an arm and a leg to get in.
This year’s biggest bash, at least price wise (according to Darren Rovell), is the Rolling Stone Hosts The Bacardi Bash party. If you’re not a VIP — and let’s be honest, you’re reading this, so you’re obviously not — you can still gain entry by forking over $1,070… for general admission.
Does that get you bottle service or maybe a complimentary *******? Hell no. It does get you an open bar with top-shelf liquor thankfully, “high-end” food by some local catering company, and some live music.
Performing will be L.M.F.A.O., Lupe Fiasco, Cobra Starship and Gym Class Heroes. ****, at least we’ve heard of three of those artists!
For a grand I expect a Led Zeppelin reunion with John Bonham, though!
Obviously, they’re gearing the party towards celebrities and athletes who’ll be in town for the game. Hence the price tag and this line on the flyer: A must stop for all musicians, athletes and other celebrity VIPs that are in Indy for the Big Game.
You should get a ticket. I’m sure we’ll be there!
