Lately, it's been a trend for NBA players to wear something avant-garde to post-game press conferences during the playoffs (remember Russell Westbrook's crazy fish bait shirt and red glasses last year?)
Tonight after the Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks, Roy Hibbert went a direction that we haven't seen before and brought a monocle up to the press conference podium with him, but in the end decided not to wear it after being talked out of it by teammate Paul George.
"I asked my teammate Paul if I should do this, but it's my first time up at the podium basically all year and, you know, a lot of people always wear crazy get-ups and stuff like that. So I said to myself before the game, 'I'm going to have a great game tonight,' and I was advised by Paul George and David Benner not to set a trend by wearing the monocle. So I'm not putting on the monocle."
