After handing out sizable contract extensions to both Patrice Bergeron and Tuukka Rask this offseason, the Bruins extended the contract another key piece of the organization on Thursday. The team announced that it had given general manager Peter Chiarelli a four-year contract extension, keeping the architect of a B’s squad that has reached two of the last three Stanley Cup Finals in town for at least another five years. Dale Arnold and Andy Brickley took a break from their offseason schedules Thursday night to discuss just how much Chiarelli has meant to the Bruins during his seven years in Boston.
