Jeff Howe's column in the Boston Herald this morning points out something very interesting about the Dolphins. They may be ranked seventh in the NFL against the run, but that doesn't tell the whole story. The Dolphins were excellent against the run in their first five games, and that’s why their place in the season-long pecking order is so high. They allowed 61.4 rushing yards per game in that span, which was the best mark in the NFL.But lately, their front seven has been mighty generous, surrendering an average of 126.2 rushing yards in their last six games, which is the 11th most in that stretch. That's a good sign for a Patriots offense that still ranks sixth in the league in rushing and has been held under 100 yards total only three times this season. It might also be a good sign for Stevan Ridley to get back to some dominating performances. He hasn't reached 100 yards himself since an October 28th game against the St. Louis Rams.Still, criticizing the Dolphins run d...

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots won the AFC East in Miami on Sunday
The stadium formally known as Joe Robbie stadium has always been the New England Patriots “little shop of horrors”. No matter how good the New England Patriots are, or how bad the Miami Dolphins are, it always plays out as a game that the Patriots will find some way to choke away down the stretch. Today...
Fantasy Football News - According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, New England Patriots wide receiver is expected to miss an extended period of time. Edelman suffered a foot injury in Sunday’s win over the Dolphins and was seen in a walking boot. FFLockerRoom Take - Well that is great news for owners of Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez but terrible news for fantasy owners who had just...
Patriots Defensive Drives vs. Dolphins
One of the best performances of the year, if not the best.
(via Silverman’s Best: Patriots at Dolphins - 12/2/2012)
That headline speaks volumes about the domination the New England Patriots have within their division. While they have run wild in the AFC East in the Belichick era and have an unbelievable division record of 60-19 in that span sometimes the individual games don’t always come that easy.
And that was the case once again in Miami in December. They should move Halloween to...
The winning coach yesterday was dour. After beating a divisional opponent on the road in a key game for the playoff picture, he half-heartedly trotted out to greet the opposing coach. The opposing coach offered his head and said “congratulations” and the winning coach briefly touched his hand and started to jog away, not even making eye contact.
The losing coach wasn’t happy...
The New England Patriots are going back to an old friend to help fill a hole on the wide receiver depth chart, and it's not Deion Branch this time.
NFL.com's Albert Breer reports the team signed Donte' Stallworth, according to a source who spoke with player. Stallworth, 31, has tried out for a few teams since the Patriots cut him in August, but he hasn't been on...
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was using crutches and wearing a walking boot when he briefly emerged from the locker room after suffering a foot injury in the team's AFC East-clinching victory over the Miami Dolphins.
Edelman left the game in the fourth quarter and was announced as questionable to return due to a foot injury, although it is not clear how severe the injury...
The New England Patriots have declared DL Chandler Jones, FS Derrick Martin, FB James Develin, OG Logan Mankins, OG Mitch Petrus, TE Rob Gronkowski, TE Visanthe Shiancoe inactive for Week 13. Source: KFFL.com Attached Thumbnails
The Patriots didn’t put on their best performance of the season on Sunday, but it got the job done. And the result was a division title.
With a 23-16 win over the Dolphins in Miami, New England locked up their fourth straight division title and their ninth in the last 10 seasons. The win was a big one as it officially locked up a playoff spot for the now 9-3 Patriots — their...
There was some talk that Sebastian Vollmer might not play based on how he was acting in pre-game warmups. He apparently took his helmet off in frustration and then walked off with offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia and the team's trainer. Worry no more though, Vollmer is active. And so is Julian Edelman.Patriots inactives: Gronk, Mankins, Jones, Shiancoe, Petrus, Develin...
The New England Patriots came into today's game as heavy favorites against their division rival Miami Dolphins. The Patriots have made it a habit of putting a lot of points on the board in their 5 game winning streak, scoring a combines 219 points while giving up only 107. That fact alone spawned the prediction that we would see another blow-out in Miami. But the Dolphins had...
The NFL has a lot of great touchdown celebrations, but New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley might have had one of the most interesting and most well though-out celebrations we’ve seen.
Against the Miami Dolphins Sunday, Ridley was able to score quickly and early in the game and celebrated by having a pretend a door, ringing the bell and then kicking it down. Interesting...
Lead writer Nick St. Denis and AFC East Daily contributors Dan Begnoche and Sean Donovan pick the New England Patriots' divisional battle with the Miami Dolphins. Nick's take: The Patriots are pretty much unstoppable at this point, having scored 190 points combined in the last four games. And it's not just the offense. New England's defense and special teams have...
Has the New England defense turned the corner or is this still a unit that should worry Pats fans?
Jason: You can still count me as concerned. The defense has been staked to early leads in the past two weeks and benefitted from several gift-wrapped turnovers, so we haven't seen what they can do in a close game when the pressure is really on and the other team isn'...
