Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is probably the most explosive guard in the NBA. Yesterday in a game against Golden State his athletic ability was once again on display. In the second quarter of the game Kevin Durant pulled down a rebound and gave and outlet pass to Westbrook. From there Westbrook did the rest. He dribbled down the court and threw down monster dunk over Stephen Curry. Check out this monster dunk below. Sunday night the Golden State Warriors took on the Oklahoma City Thunder and it would be a night where Kevin Durant would record his first triple-double as well as Russell Westbrook having a big night with 30 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals with just one turnover. Russell Westbrook Dunks on Stephen Curry for ‘Thunderous Finish’ (Video)

Russell Westbrook is kind of an explosive player, so when he gets the ball on the break, opponents would be smart to just let him do his thing. Stephen Curry was not willing to do so on Sunday, though, and he paid for it. Curry became the latest poster victim at the hands of Westbrook, who hammered home a dunk over the helpless Warriors guard to the delight of the crowd at Chesapeake...

Kevin Martin gets warning for Flopping

Finally the NBA is doing something about flopping. I have been calling for this for the last couple of years. Over the last couple of years players have been flopping way too much. Basketball was turning into soccer. So the NBA is going to do something about it. Well even though the NBA season just started the league has already warned two players for their flopping antics. Oft-Injured Free Agent, Derek Fisher, of No Interest to Mavericks

When you play in the NBA as long as Derek Fisher has, you're bound to go through some injuries.  Those injuries, combined with age, make it tough to land another job as a free agent.  That's what Fisher is dealing with now.  He had been talking to the Dallas Mavericks, but it appears they are not interested right now.Despite the obvious need for point guard help, the...

Durant registers triple-double as Thunder dump Warriors

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson has no problem admitting the Thunder provide the blueprint for what he wants his team to become. "This is certainly a model," Jackson said. "They had a tough time early on, winning 20-something games and going through the process. But give this front office, ownership, coaching staff a lot of credit. They...

Pistons Weekly: Entering the win column

It was a banner week for the Detroit Pistons compared to the first couple of weeks. After losing their first eight games, the Pistons won not only their first of the season but their second as well.
