PLAYERS: Ryan Clady
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Broncos’ left tackle Ryan Clady will not participate in this week’s voluntary workouts. Until further notice, there will be a noticeable absence from the Broncos’ offseason program. According to two NFL sources, Clady, the starting left offensive tackle for all 83 games (including playoffs) the Broncos have played since selecting him with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2008 draft, will attempt to gain leverage with his stalled contract negotiation by avoiding the team’s headquarters. Clady isn’t technically holding out yet since the workouts are voluntary, according to the collective bargaining agreement.  But he’s clearly making a statement as he waits for a long-term extension.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();
