The SA Emerging Sevens team will be aiming to reclaim the Safaricom Safari Sevens when the popular event is again staged in Nairobi, Kenya from on June 4-6.

The South African youngsters won the title in 2007 but have had to play second fiddle to Kenya's 'Shuuja' over the last few years.

Twelve players has been cut down from an original squad of of 18 and will assemble in Stellenbosch on Monday where they will attend a brief training camp under the watchful eye of coach, Arthur Janson before flying out to Kenya next Thursday.

Several current Springbok Sevens stalwarts such as Mzwandile Stick, Frankie Horne, Vuyo Zangqa, Norman Nelson and more recently, Cecil Afrika, came through the Emerging ranks on their way to the IRB Sevens World Series.
