As would be expected, Alabama Coach Nick Saban spoke highly of Virginia Tech and expressed concern about some areas of the Crimson Tide’s play following Bama’s 35-10 win over the Hokies in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta Saturday.
BEST OF MAXIM
Alabama rolled over Virginia Tech in a 35-10 show-of-strength.
Quarterback AJ McCarron did not have the best day with his 10-for-24 outing.
McCarron did play a small role in the dynamic day of Christion Jones. Jones caught a touchdown from his quarterback and returned both a kickoff and a punt for scores.

Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron had surgery on his toe Thursday to fix an infection.
The senior quarterback will play in Saturday’s game against Virgina Tech.
McCarron had a toe nail removed and later showed up in a walking boot in Atlanta, site of today’s game. Naturally this caused an uproar on social media but according to reports...
DON'T BE ALARMED
Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron was spotted wearing a walking boot ahead of his team's opening game against Virginia Tech.
You better bet that Alabama is ready to start the season in the Georgia Dome against Virginia Tech Saturday. Because if they’re not- they’re not the team they should be. But if you, as a fan, need to get your last minute head lines and information headed into the starting whistle, I’ve got you covered.
DON’T TAKE VIRGINIA TECH LIGHTLY
Reason one being- your team shouldn’t...
Christion Jones' spectacular performance in Alabama's debut didn't come as a surprise to his teammates.
To the rest of the country, maybe. Just not to the guys who see the top-ranked Crimson Tide's receiver/return man in action daily in practice.
''I've seen it in him,'' Alabama left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio said. ''He's been working...
Christion Jones got the Alabama offense off to a good start to the 2013 season by returning a punt to the house, and just a quarter later he did it again, but this time on a kickoff. Jones took a 94-yard kickoff return down the left side of the field and somehow managed to escape two ‘should have been’ tackles. The very poor tackling lead to Frank Beamer giving us one of the...
Alabama is heavily favored over Virginia Tech in this weekend’s Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, considering the Tide won last year’s BCS National Championship Game and have one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the country in A.J. McCarron. But they may have a little issue they’ve stayed mum about ahead of the matchup – McCarron’s bruised foot.
McCarron was spotted by ESPN’s...

Fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide have become spoiled at the program's success over the past handful of years. This much was evident when Virginia Tech running back Trey Edmunds broke loose and ripped off a 78-yard touchdown run on the Tide's heralded defense.Naturally, Alabama fans were stunned. Perhaps no fan was more dumbfounded by what he witnessed than this guy, though...
Looks like Head coach Frank Beamer and company are busting out some new threads for their game against the defending champion Alabama Crimson Tide.
Though not yet confirmed by the University, Chris Coleman of TechSidelines.com found a photo of Tech defensive end James Gayle in what looks to be a new uniform. The uniform is grey with a Chic-Fil-A patch on the right shoulder. It also...
The defending champion Crimson Tide opened their season on Saturday against a mediocre Virginia Tech squad at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
Although Alabama was able to prevail convincingly, the 35-10 score didn’t reflect the level of play Nick Saban and company are accustomed to. We’ll take a look at what the Tide did well, what they did not so well, and what was just flat-out...
WE’RE BACK!!!!1!! We know you missed us ever so dearly. As CGally said, sorry for the lack of content this summer. Apparently, this is the summer that everyone decides to get married. But now we’re here and you can breathe easier.
We’ve got Bama tomorrow. You know what to do.
Phew, it’s good...
If Alabama would slip up, then it will most likely be week two at Texas A&M. If Johnny Manziel and the rest of the Aggies are at full strength, it will be a great game and the Tide could easily lose. Alabama has a good shot at another BCS National Championship, but it's so difficult to go undefeated nowadays in college football, especially in a power conference like the SEC...
