Michael Waltrip Racing announced Saturday that team owner Michael Waltrip and Mark Martin will be sharing the seat in the No. 55 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car with a third driver in 2012 — Nationwide Series regular Elliott Sadler. “Elliott has the experience and attitude we were looking for,” Waltrip said. “We’ll pair him with crew chief Rodney Childers, who builds really fast cars. We believe Elliott will do a great job.” Sadler is scheduled to run five races in the No. 55, beginning with the March 18 race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Sadler will be in the car for both 2012 Bristol races, the other one being on Aug. 25. He’ll also race at Martinsville Speedway twice, on April 1 and Oct. 28, and at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 15. “This is an awesome opportunity,” Sadler said. “We’ve been talking about this for awhile, but wanted to get through Daytona before we announced it to anyone.
