Midwest Sports Fans:
Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard are starring in a new series of commercials and they are hilarious.
Are these the funniest commercials ever promoted by pro athletes? Better yet, are these the funniest acting jobs ever performed by pro athletes?
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had some seriously funny moments in Airplane! O.J. Simpson gave turned in yeoman’s efforts in the Naked Gun series. And, apparently, Mike Tyson is hilarious in his one-man stand-up act.
For me, though, these commercials take the cake. Each one made me laugh some. It could be because I’m a huge Spurs fan, but I think anyone could appreciate them.
I was very surprised to see Kawhi Leonard in the spots. He provided a different element.
Leonard is one of my favorite athletes to watch for many reasons. Of course I like his game, but it is his professionalism and sportsmanship that I respect most. After, the 2013 NBA Finals, Dwyane Wade called Leonard the “Quiet Assassin.” Wade said he never heard Leonar...

San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker is a pro-athelete, has been a rapper, married an actress and is an icon in France. But having fame, fortune and NBA titles may not be enough for No. 9. Perhaps zombie killing may be next.
San Antonio had its first Comic Convention and Parker posed with a few actors of "The Walking Dead" including "Glenn," "Maggie,"...
San Antonio Spurs' Gregg Popovich is a hard-nosed, no-nonsense kind of NBA coach. He tells it like it is and doesn't care if you are the star of the team or the last guy on the bench. Everyone gets equal treatment. Though I suspect this might be a shock to the system for a then 19-year old rookie point guard by the name of Tony Parker.
Being the floor leader is tough...
Over the years, San Antonio Spurs players like Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker have teamed up with and starred in commercials for H-E-B supermarkets in Texas.
Recently, the latest group of four commercials were released and thanks to the keen eye of the Starters, they can be seen below featuring Tim, Tony, Manu, and Kawhi Leonard:

Despite his preseason proclamation that he would look to Manu Ginobili like a father Marco Belinelli has yet to move into the Ginobili abode. Nor does Ginobili with a wife and two young sons have much time to school his newest teammate on the mysteries of life.
For now their relationship will be limited primarily to the basketball court where the two foreigners are quickly developing...
Decades ago, NBA players wouldn’t be caught dead at comic conventions but these days, it’s almost become the norm to see at least a couple interested in Comic Con’s.
Recently, Spurs Tony Parker and Matt Bonner attended the Alamo City Comic Con and below is the picture proof thanks to Reddit user bettercallsaul3.

So much for the Spurs being boring, eh?
New Spur Marco Belinelli tweeted out these photos at the Spurs Halloween party over the weekend. Belinelli is dressed up as Mario with Manu Ginobili next to him as Buzz Lightyear.
Tony Parker joined the party as well.
Where is Tim Duncan though?
If you thought Gregg Popovich’s treatment of NBA sideline reporters was bad, you haven’t seen anything. Think about how hard the San Antonio Spurs coach must be on his players. During an interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter, Spurs point guard Tony Parker admitted Popovich made him cry as a rookie. “Oh yeah,” Parker said when asked […]
The San Antonio Spurs dressed up Saturday night for the team’s annual Halloween party – Kawhi Leonard showed up as a sailor, Marco Belinelli was Super Mario, Tony Parker was Captain Hook, Manu Ginobili as Buzz Lightyear, Danny Green as a Transformer and Nando de Colo did an amazing job with the Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter look.

Tyreke Evans took the money and fled Sacramento for the New Orleans Pelicans.
Evans joins a crowded back court with Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, and Austin Rivers. Evans versatility as a wing player will help his cause, but the question has always remained how he’ll fit in, and where will the minutes come from.
Evans spoke with Hoops Hype recently, and repeated his sentiments...
I have a sinking suspicion that you didn’t get to attend the San Antonio Spurs Halloween party but thanks to the pictures taken by Marco Belinelli, we have some pictoral proof of the costumes.
Check out the two below photos which shows Marco was Super Mario, Manu Ginobili as Buzz Lightyear, Kawhi Leonard as Popeye, Nando De Colo as The Mad Hatter and Tony Parker as a pirate:

The Spurs were looking for veteran help behind Kawhi Leonard and found it in a former Mavericks player.
the Spurs just signed Josh Howard to a non-guaranteed contract, according to the San Antonio Express-News. Howard is coming off a second knee surgery in the past three years, so there is a small risk in the signing.

After the San Antonio Spurs waived both Sam Young and Corey Maggette, who were auditioning for a backup small forward spot to Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs finally got their coveted swingman, albeit a few years, and injuries, later.
The Spurs signed the 6-7 small forward today in a very low-risk move that should allow the Spurs to get a look at Howard to see if he can fit that role...
