NFL Injury Report:
Francisco 49ers’ have signed seven players to their practice squad as of Monday
evening, according to David Fucillo of Niners Nation. None of the players
signed so far would register as eyebrow-raising moves by any means. It seems
San Francisco would rather save its drama for snatching players off other practice
squads like we saw on Monday when they signed wide receiver Chris Harper from
the division-rival Seahawks. Harper was a fourth-round draft pick by Seattle
this offseason and a player they had hoped to develop through their own
scout-team. However—as head coach Jim Harbaugh stated earlier in the week—they
are the 49ers’, they can do what they want.
As the final
cuts became official around the league, Jim Harbaugh and his staff began
signing players to the practice squad. So far, they have filled seven of the
possible eight practice squad roster spots. The players that compile the list
so far are:
Morris and Michael Thomas
Bykowski and Patrick Omameh
