The recent trade of center Samson Satele for a 6th round pick and swapping 4th round picks with the Raiders did not make a lot of sense to me.I understand the argument that Satele does not fit the type of offensive lineman this front office covets, but that doesn't justify discarding him for so little value. Satele is a young player with a lot of upside and a skillset that could make him successful on several teams. At worst, he could have been the first man off the bench for the Dolphins if any of the three interior guys were to go down with injury. As a matter of fact, given the three interior guys that will most likely be starting for the Dolphins, an experienced back-up is a necessity. We saw Justin Smiley and Donald Thomas both suffer career-ending injuries.
