Power rankings have become a staple of our current coverage of sports. They can be as fun as they are meaningless. Larry Stone's baseball power rankings are the first thing that I read in Sunday's sports section. Just look at the gem from this week's edition:
4. Yankees Big Ol' CC Sabathia "Death to Frying Things."
And to be truthful, it's about this time of year that I begin to get a little wistful for football power rankings (and the inevitable hate-mail from Cowboys fans who inevitably believe that either I have ranked Dallas to low or made fun of Romo too much. I used to get these sort of e-mails from Raiders fans, too. Now? Not so much. Hmmm. I wonder why.)
So it got me thinking: What if you had a power rankings of the Seahawks roster in terms of their importance? The idea came from the fact that I think the three most important players to this Seahawks season are (in order) Matt Hasselbeck, Patrick Kerney and Walter Jo...
