Found January 24, 2013 on Steelers Depot:
There is another report that has now surfaced late Thursday that is stating Pittsburgh Steelers special teams coach Amos Jones will be named the new special teams coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Tommy Deas of tidesports.com reports that Jones, a former University of Alabama football player, will indeed join the Cardinals coaching staff. Deas only states in his report that Jones is leaving the staff of the Steelers, but speculation would suggest that he didn't have his contract renewed. This now makes two reports stating that Jones is indeed no longer part of the Steelers organization as Mike Read more [...]

Cards should release Kerry Rhodes in 2013

Arizona Cardinals safety Kerry Rhodes had an outstanding season in 2012, but due to the Cardinals being almost two million dollars over the cap limit for 2013. The Cardinals will likely release Kerry Rhodes during the 2013 offseason. The good news about the potential Rhodes and Cardinals divorce is that it would be mutually beneficial for both parties. On the one hand, the Cardinals...

Why the Pittsburgh Steelers Are No Longer a Model NFL Franchise (Part 1 of 2)

The Pittsburgh Steelers are no longer one of the first teams that come to mind when people think of consistently successful NFL franchises. A model franchise can be counted on to make the playoffs every season with rare exceptions. The Steelers are not in that category. In the 21st century, the Steelers have missed the playoffs every third year. They made the playoffs in 2001 and...

The 2013 Senior Bowl is Saturday, and like the rest of you, I will have my eyes on several players that I think might could help the Pittsburgh Steelers. Below is a list of just a few players that I look forward to seeing with a very brief synopsis of each. Feel free to add other names of players that you look forward to seeing play and what you are looking for out of each. DE...

Darnell Dockett Actually Likes "Hood Chicks" and not Katherine Webb

If you remember correctly, Darnell Dockett hit up AJ McCarron’s girlfriend Katherine Webb on twitter during the BCS National Championship game and asked her out on a date.  According to Dockett, he was just joking around, she's not his type.   If I really wanted to get his girl, there’s a bunch of different ways I’d have went about it. I would have got her if I...

Cardinals Darnell Dockett said he likes hood girls with bad credit and bullet wounds

I guess people really took Darnell Dockett’s tweets seriously when he hit up Miss Alabama Katherine Webb on Twitter. I thought it was just about kicks and giggles. Well, Darnell decided to clarify what type of women he likes while on Bickley and MJ on XTRA Sports 910, and it’s not beauty queens, he prefers hood chicks apparently. Wait, not just any hood chick, one with bullet...

Rashard Mendenhall likely done in Pittsburgh

We mentioned yesterday that the Pittsburgh Steelers will likely redo their backfield for next season.   Even the Steelers’ official website agrees with the idea that at least Rashard Mendenhall won’t be back in the Steel City next season. Mendenhall will be a free agent this offseason and after a disappointing season in which he came back from ACL surgery and the fact that...

The Prevailing Trend Linked To Playoff Success? Drive!

By Christopher DiMarino The primary concern that I've had for the Pittsburgh Steelers over the past few years appears to be a key theme in this NFL Playoffs. You see, I believe that the mental component of football is much more important than many lead on. Having the drive to win is vital and can separate otherwise equivalent teams. The Steelers proved a lot in the last decade...

No, The Steelers Will Not Trade For Darrelle Revis

By now you have probably read the report by Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com that states the New York Jets are looking to trade cornerback Darrelle Revis, who missed almost all of last season after suffering a torn ACL. If you are one of the people that think that the Pittsburgh Steelers will trade for Revis, you need to have your head checked. Revis is set to earn a $3 million...
