As reported by TSN, Sergei Gonchar has agreed to a two-year deal worth $10 million to play for the Dallas Stars.  the Ottawa Senators will receive a conditional sixth sixth round draft pick this year as part of the deal.I'm actually surprised Ottawa let Gonchar go for so little in return. This is a player who had quite a remarkable bounce back season leading the Ottawa Senators defense with 27 points 3 goals and 24 assists in a lockout shortened season.Having said this, Sergei Gonchar is renowned for his offensivse  capabilities from the blue line. In 1177 games he has recorded 775 points. When you look at his career numbers you can see that Ottawa certainly was not Sergei Gonchar's most successful destination.  Gonchar had 15 goals and 76 assists in 186 games over three seasons for the Senators. Maybe, this is why they decided to part ways.Gonchar as played 18 NHL seasons with Washington, Boston, Pittsburgh, and Ottawa. This is the first time in his NHL career fans out West ...
