First place, last place or anywhere between, the San Francisco Giants are always in Beat LA mode! The Giants marched into Los Angeles and took three out of four against the first place Los Angeles Dodgers.   The man of the weekend was outfielder Hunter Pence. Pence hit .470 with 5 homers, 12 RBI, 7 runs scored for the Giants against the Dodgers. This hot streak alone shows how important it is for the Giants to re-sign Pence.   Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com reports that the Giants have opened up talks with Pence about an extension, but they have yet to do so with Tim Lincecum. Both players will hit the free agent market following the season, and the Giants do have exclusive negotiating rights with Pence and Lincecum until 5 days after the World Series.   Pence is putting up the offensive numbers to show why the Giants need to re-sign him.
