Had things worked out the way he expected, Louisville wide receiver Michaelee Harris would be entering his senior season with the Cardinal football program. Instead, Harris is gearing up for just his second season of action.
The Miami native was one of the feature players in Charlie Strong’s first recruiting class at Louisville. Harris was a four star prospect coming out of high school and chose the Cards over Miami, Ole Miss, Tennessee and West Virginia, among others.
Unfortunately for Harris, he suffered a torn MCL in one of the first fall practices during his first season with the program and used a medical redshirt. During his redshirt freshman season in 2011, Louisville fans got what they thought they would get the previous season. Michaelee finished the regular season starting all 12 games and led the team in receiving yards at 455 yards on 37 receptions and a three-way tie for 2nd on the team in touchdowns with two.
