The college football bowl season is under way with Arizona taking on Nevada today, and it didn't take long for things to get out of hand. Rich Rodriguez and his team had a little fight on the sidelines during the first half of the game.  The brawl was between defensive tackle Tevin Hood and linebacker Cody Ippolito, and thank goodness these guys don't box.  Don't think I saw a punch get within a foot of the other players face.  Check out the brawl below. Arizona players throw punches at each other

How do you make the New Mexico Bowl interesting? How about with Arizona teammates throwing punches at each other in a sideline fight. Now that’s the holiday spirit, boys. Filed under: Football

Arizona Teammates Fight On Sidelines During New Mexico Bowl

Say what you will about how bad this looks, but at least the team is showing some heart. Arizona teammates Tevin Hood and linebacker Cody Ippolito went at each other on the sidelines Saturday during the New Mexico Bowl. Someone should let these gentlemen know that there are opponents that this should be taken out on. [The Big Lead] Article found on: Cosby Sweaters

One last magic act for Scott in UA's wild win

In the high altitude in Albuquerque, Matt Scott, Arizona's Houdini, made another appearance. Voila! Or was it ta-da? Even Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez said you had to see it to believe it, adding that it was his latest and greatest (win) so far." Did you expect anything less in a year of the-arm-is-quicker-than-the-eye moments for Scott, Arizona's senior quarterback...

Arizona 49, Nevada 48: Defense optional in Wildcats' crazy win

After falling into a 21-0 hole to start the 2012 Gildan New Mexico Bowl, the Arizona Wildcats looked like they would have been just about anywhere other than Albuquerque Saturday morning. It’s not clear if the defense ever showed up. Somehow, though, Arizona still managed to come away with a 49-48 win over Nevada in arguably the wildest game of the season. In a classic bowl...

Arizona Defensive Players fight each other on the sideline

It’s unclear what prompted the dispute between the two Arizona players, perhaps it was the fact that the Arizona Wildcats gave up 21 points in the first quarter.  It’s likely that we will never know.  Either way, punches were exchanged between the two, and one of them was taken to the lockerroom afterwards.  The commentators say that it was a “long season” for the Wildcat...

Wildcat Family Fight

The Gildan New Mexico Bowl didn't have a great audience, and I'm sure the TV audience wasn't much better, but what a way to get the bowl season going. Not only did Arizona rally from 17 points down in the fourth quarter to win 49-48, but down 21-7 in the first quarter nose tackle Tevin Hood and true freshman linebacker Cody Ippolito had to be separated by teammates...
