Found February 06, 2012 on The Colts Authority:
Epic Patriots homer and Grantland writer Bill Simmons should have had a bad time in Indianapolis. A week in the home of the dreaded Colts topped off with a second Super Bowl loss to Eli Manning should have crushed him. Maybe we're all getting older and a touch less testy or just maybe Bill found a little Hoosier magic made the trip worthwhile: Here's the point: Whenever I think about Super Bowl XLVI, I'm always going to think to myself, That day wasn't a total catastrophe … that's the same day we went to theHoosiers gym! Which made it a brilliant play. I'm adding the "Good Karma Game Day Swerve" to my arsenal for any monstrously important Boston sporting event. It made yesterday 10 percent more bearable.

Peyton Manning focused on Eli, rehab

Peyton Manning has two things on his mind: his brother and his health. What he's not interested in is the "Peyton vs. Eli" discussion: "Special time," said Peyton, who watched Eli's second Super Bowl victory in four seasons from the stadium. "It was just a good crowd. Family and friends, people from all over. Anytime you can have a post-Super Bowl...

Why Bill Simmons’ Super Bowl Seats Pretty Much Sucked

Of course you guys are about to kill us over that headline, but let’s focus on what is considered a great Super Bowl seat for a guy with 1.6mm Twitter followers. If you are Bill Simmons, the guy who put Boston sports fandome on the map, are you happy to find your Super Bowl seat next to a Yankees fan? Are you happy to trudge through 14 people to go take a leak? Are you inconvenienced...

Peyton expects to meet with Irsay this week

According to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning spoke with owner Jim Irsay and he believes they’ll meet some time this week. “We talked about getting together and I think it will be this week,” said Manning.  “He just said, ‘I look forward to sitting down with you soon.’ I told him the same thing.“I think it will be this week....

Has Anyone Seen What the Colts Look Like Without Peyton!?

“Are you kidding me? Seriously? You sons of bi@t%es have a lot of balls.” That’s me (as Peyton Manning of course) reacting to the news that they will be not picking up my option and “rebuilding” with Andrew Luck the “Quarterback of the Future”. How many times do we have to go down the list.  Jamarcus Russell, TIm Couch, The Boz, Ki-Jana Carter, and the list goes on...

Manning Watch 2012: Are the Tides Turning?

The moves made by Jim Irsay thus far this offseason point toward the Colts rebuilding after one of its worst seasons in recent memory.  Irsay fired the GM and much of the coaching staff, hired a defensive-minded coach, and has repeatedly beaten the "new era" mantra into our heads through press conferences.  He's talked about how similar this situation is to 1998,...

Sources: Saturday eyed for front-office jobs

The Colts have told Jeff Saturday, a player who was instrumental in helping to end the lockout, that they are willing to give him a front-office job, according to league sources.

Manning Shows Can't Spell 'Elite' Without Eli

And with that, Eli Manning won his second Super Bowl — one more than the stadium's resident quarterback, Peyton Manning. "We're not much into comparisons," Manning said. "But, sure, I'd be lying to say this didn't feel great."

Bradshaw’s Derpdown Excused; Belichick Reinforces Holmgren’s Law Of Letting Teams Score

Bless you, Giants. Bless you, ringier Manning. There are probably some positive words that can be spelled with the letters in your name. Bill Simmons is in Brady’s hotel room already calling Manningham’s sideline catch even luckier than Tyree’s giant snatch. The Patriots now have a losing record in the Super Bowl. I won’t have to see Madonna and Jerry Seinfeld on my TV until...
