The Utes are in first place in the UAA Invite with 718 total points after accumulating a meet-high 248 points after today's first Alpine event, the giant slalom. Utah leads defending national champion Colorado by 97 points, heading into the final discipline of the event, the slalom, which will be held on Friday.
