Found August 26, 2013 on Fox Sports:
Falcons coach Mike Smith says problems with the offensive line and secondary will be corrected before Atlanta opens the season at New Orleans in 13 days. It's unlikely that offensive stars such as quarterback Matt Ryan, tight end Tony Gonzalez and running back Steven Jackson will be on the field when the Falcons host Jacksonville in the preseason finale on Thursday. Smith will follow his customary protocol for a preseason finale with the first-team offensive line and entire defense starting the game, but neither side is likely to play many snaps. Smith believes there's enough time to fix mistakes in pass protection and in pass coverage before the Saints game plan is installed next week. --- AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org

The Atlanta Falcons currently sit at 0-3 this pre-season, and although this useless record means absolutely nothing going into the upcoming regular season, there are a few issues that are developing from the three matchups that have been played so far; namely, that quarterback Dominique Davis has looked a bit shaky during his time on the field. Falcons' O-line needs work heading into preseason finale

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. For Falcons fans who watched Saturday's preseason loss to the Tennessee Titans, it seemed as if, indeed, the sky was falling. That's how quarterbacks get hurt. "We gave up way...

Atlanta Falcons Preseason Takeaways: Four Downs vs Tennesee Titans

The third preseason game of the year is commonly referred to as the dress rehearsal for the regular season. It's the game in which the starters are going to get the most reps, and halftime adjustments will be made by the coaching staff. If what we saw from the Atlanta Falcons last week was a dress rehearsal, they are nowhere near ready for opening night. The Falcons came out and got off to

Falcons Pre-Season Game Three Wrap-Up: I Need a Flashy Thingy

The third pre-season game is where you get to see your starters for an extended period of time and you generally start to see the team coming together for better or worse. If that's the case, then after this performance by the Falcons, I'm in desperate need of a Neuralyzer. First the good. The Falcons won the first quarter 6-0 and their first three drives took...

Can Falcons Regroup After Flat Finish Last Season?

Guest Post By Parker Jones The Atlanta Falcons overachieved and underachieved at the same time last season. While they finished with the best record in the NFC at 13-3, they didn’t play well in the playoffs (or really even show up). Seattle nearly beat them, and the team fell horribly flat against San Francisco. So while the Falcons don’t have too much work to do (to remain one...
