You’ve probably heard that the NFL’s current union of referees are holding out for a better labor deal, which means that we have to deal with replacement refs in the meantime until a new agreement is reached.
Well, one of these replacements had a, shall we say, “difficult” time in assessing penalties during on sequence in the second quarter of Wednesday night’s Patriots-Giants preseason game. The ref, whose name is Don King (yup, seriously), had some trouble making any sense at all and couldn’t find a way to stop talking (much like boxing’s Don King) and was met with a stadium full of boos and one pissed off Tom Coughlin.
Can we all just pray that we get regular refs back before next Wednesday’s season opener?

It was the long-awaited rematch of Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. The hottest ticket in town! Fans lined up deep into the city as they waited to get into MetLife Stadium! Well, not really, but it was yet another game between the Giants and Patriots. And like so before, Big Blue came out victorious after a late fourth quarter rally.

On Monday, 22-year-old “tight end” Aaron Hernandez signed a contract that will keep him in a Patriots jersey for up to seven more seasons, including this year, through 2018. The deal includes $16 million guaranteed plus up to $40 million in additional money. Just like we do in our acclaimed training program, I’d like to break down all of the details of this deal and what...
Despite his reputation as a stylish, handsome and debonair magazine cover boy and red carpet superstar (despite the questionable hairdo on one occasion), New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has had his fair share of überdorky, awkward and profoundly hilarious images and videos depicting him as something of a oafish — and other times, effeminate — dolt. [...]
New York Giants linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka took exception to Jerry Jones saying the Cowboys “would beat the Giants asses.”
NJ.com reports that this morning he responded and fired back.
On WFAN’s “Boomer and Carton” morning show Kiwanuka stated.
“He should. I mean, the Giants have been whupping his ass for a long time.”
“It’s gotta be tough on the outside looking...
Do I get commission Juan?
Hakeem Nicks is the stud WR for the New York Giants that is locked and loaded for the 2012 season. Today he was at New ERA store showing off some new digs with some New York Giants’ fans. I know Victor Cruz is the toast of the town, but Nicks is an elite talent that is going to wreak havoc this season.

During last night's New York Giants-New England Patriots Super Bowl pre-season rematch, this replacement referee made a call on a kick that that's hard to figure out. Now that we know the fill-ins will be working the first week of the NFL season, it should be a lot of fun when things really get serious on the field.
For the sake of the NFL and the players, Roger...

It is time for the trash talking to ramp itself up, and defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka is the first Giants player to enter the fray. He was actually responding the Jerry [...]
The Giants will be opening their regular season in under a week at home against the Dallas Cowboys. There's sure to be a lot of ceremony before the game, with celebrations of their February Super Bowl win. There's going to be giddiness -- and then they'll just have to look across the sidelines to see a group of people who want to knock them off their perch. It’s the most exciting time of the year, the start of football, and I don’t mean the boring preseason stuff, but the real stuff.
Wednesday, the defending Super Bowl champions’ New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys kick of the 2012 NFL season. This game has what we all want to see, a rivalry, the champions of the year before, and last, but not least two teams that hate each...
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones can’t help but agree with Giants linebacker/defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka that they’ve been “whupping” the Cowboys over the past few seasons.
“I agree with him, and the only thing I’m saying is that I’ll never get used to it,” Jones told USA Today Sports.
“It is tough (being) on the outside looking in,” Jones said of the...
With less then a week to go to the season opener one member of the New York Giants decided it was time to step up and fire back at Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
