The Steelers prove annually that specific player projections are futile, especially in specific rounds. Based on the big names being off the board before the Steelers pick at #24, here is an analysis of some very solid, Steelers type players. Of course, if Coby Fleener the Stanford Tight End, Dontari Poe the Memphis Nose Tackle, David Decastro the Stanford Guard, Melvin Ingram the South Carolina Outside Linebacker or Luke Kuechly the Boston College Inside Linebacker are still on the board, I would expect them to grab the best one available of those elite players.

Ronnell Lewis Oklahoma Outside Linebacker Projected round 1-2
Bobbie Massie Ole Miss Offensive Tackle Projected round 2
Casey Hayward Vanderbilt Cornerback Projected round 2-3
Derek Wolfe Cincinnati Defensive End Projected round 2-3
Tank Carder TCU Inside Linebacker Projected round 3
Isaiah Pead Cincinnati Running Back Projected round 3-4
Brandon Taylor LSU Free Safety Projected round 3-4
Brandon Brooks Miami of Ohio Guard Projected round 3-4
A.J. Jenkins Ilinois Wide Receiver Projected round 3-4
Nick Jean-Baptiste Baylor Nose Tackle Projected round 3-5
David Molk Michigan Center/Guard Projected round 4-5
James Hanna Oklahoma Tight End Projected round 5-7
Cody Johnson Texas Fullback Projected round 5-7
Darron Thomas Oregon Quarterback Projected free agent
Brad Nortman Wisconsin Punter Projected free agent
Derek Dimke Illinos Kicker Projected free agent
