It's truly a rancid wind that doesn't blow some good into somebody's life.
As bad as Dirk Nowitzki's breakup with Cristal Taylor has been this off-season, it appears to have cleared the way for Dirk to play in the Euroleague championships in Poland later this summer.
This is great news.
When things go bad, singers sing, plumbers look under a sink and basketball players hoop it up.
You do what you're most comfortable doing when you face adversity. This will be good for Nowitzki and good for the Mavericks. He will have had more than two full months away from the game to rest up, more than enough to make up for his usually hectic schedule the last, oh, 10 years or so.
