Found January 29, 2013 on State of the Texans:
We just had @nfldraftscout on from radio row and he told us his sources indicated that Texans considering moving Brooks Reed inside — Lance Zierlein (@LanceZierlein) January 29, 2013   As I told @lancezierlein, #Texans are considering moving Brooks Reed to ILB if they can re-sign OLB Connor Barwin. — Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) January 29, 2013   This move is contingent on the Houston Texans resigning free agent Connor Barwin, which could give the Texans the option to move Brooks Reed inside. Reed played inside some during the 2012 season which gave the Texans a small sample size of what he could possibly be as an inside linebacker. It is hard to not say that this could not be a reality, but this is nothing more than a rumor at this point. This would mean Connor Barwin (if resigned) and Whitney Mercilus would play at outside linebacker, while Brian Cushing and Reed would be on the inside. Thoughts?

JJ Watt 'proposes' to 6-year-old fan

J.J. Watt may be a longshot for NFL Most Valuable Player, but he's definitely the Most Valuable Person in one family's book. Let's start with the backstory. Earlier this month, a video surfaced of a young fan crying because she couldn't marry the Texans' star defensive end, who, in the past, admitted to having trouble finding a girlfriend. Adorably, she...

The Most Disappointing Texans of 2012

With high hopes and expectations, the Houston Texans looked primed for a run to the Super Bowl before the season started. As we know, the road ended before we knew it and then came the evaluation period to see what exactly went wrong. Call it scheme, coaching or just general play of players, it was an upsetting end to a promising season. We looked at the most disappointing Texans...

Warren Sapp on Matt Schaub: “He’s a big-game turd”

It’s been obvious that throughout his career so far, Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has had a hard time playing well in big games.  He struggles on prime time nationally televised games and looked bad against the Patriots in the divisional round of the playoffs this year. According to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, former NFL defensive tackle Warren Sapp had some interesting...

Texans’ J.J. Watt Injures Finger in Pro Bowl

Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt was one of the players to take the Pro Bowl a bit more seriously this season, and doing so cost him a cut pinky finger. The potential Defensive Player of the Year sliced open his finger early in the contest, causing it to bleed “pretty good,” Watt told Nick Scurfield of HoustonTexans.com. "I didn’t even realize how bad it bled...

That’s football. It’s not fun if you’re not going to get bloody,” Watt said, per Nick Scurfield of HoustonTexans.com. The good thing is that Watt was able to finish the game and will...

Was the 2012 Texans’ Offensive Line That Bad?

There has been plenty to say about the Houston Texans’ offensive line, especially the right side of the 2012 line. There has been plenty of blame to push around for the Texans lack of success but we decided to look a little deeper into the offensive line from this past season. We looked back to the 2009 season to do a good comparison of the Texans’ offensive lines for the past...

Vote: Who Is the Greatest Quarterback in Texans History?

David Carr: Carr was drafted No. 1 overall by the expansion Texans in 2002, but floundered in the NFL, leading the Texans to a 22-53 record in his five years starting with the team. Carr led the league in completion percentage, starting 16 games in 2006, but also threw just 11 touchdowns to 12 interceptions with 2,767 yards and 6.3 yards per attempt.
