South Korea came from a goal down to beat Iraq in a penalty shootout and claim its 12th under-19 Asian title on Saturday.
Iraq, looking for its first title since the war-torn country won the 2007 Asian Cup, stuck first in the 35th minute when Mohanad Abdulraheem took a pass in the area and scored from close range in the United Arab Emirates.
But just when Iraq was preparing to celebrate, South Korea made it 1-1 in injury time through striker Moon Chang-jin, who netted his fourth goal of the tournament.
Neither side could find a winner in extra time, and South Korea won the penalty shootout 4-1. Sim Sang-min, Woo Ju-sung, Kim Sun-woo and Ryu Seung-woo all converted their spot kicks while only Ahmed Abbas scored for Iraq.
