Mississippi State has set the player and coaching rosters for this 2013 edition of the Maroon-White Spring Game. And even a quick glance at the disparate teams can see a definite divide between the split squads. The Maroons are led by defense, while the Whites are stronger on offense.

The support of Boston in the wake of Monday’s marathon tragedy continues.
A number of professional sports teams and athletes have already shown their support in various ways, and college teams are getting into the action as well. The Mississippi State baseball team plans to proudly wear hats featuring a Boston “B” logo during Thursday’s game.

Jamaal Clayborn has spent some time on the Mississippi State campus during the spring to see the Bulldogs during the spring practices. Clayborn is in already in Starkville intent on enjoying Super Bulldog Weekend as a bit of a pep rally of sorts before the three star offensive lineman joins the Bulldog roster this summer.
Mississippi State has wrapped up the serious portion of spring training. Now the Bulldogs can get ready for the non-serious activities as part of Super Bulldog Weekend 2013.
This seventh inning is going to stretch for a lot longer than usual. Mississippi State led Auburn 6-3 in the bottom of that frame when anticipated storms arrived and stopped play just before nine o’clock. An hour later the game was officially suspended, to be resumed following Friday’s 6:30 second game in the weekend series.
Fluke injuries have pushed Jacob Lindgren down Mississippi State’s rotation. Funny, though, how such things work out. Being third in the pitching order let Lindgren show his stuff to the second-largest crowd ever at Dudy Noble Field, and in a shutout victory. “It feels good to get out here and pitch in front of all these fans,” said Lindgren after beating Auburn 6-0.
Auburn fell 6-0 to Mississippi State on Saturday to drop the series to the Bulldogs.
