NFL Trade Rumors:
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette mentions that although rookie RB Le’Veon Bell’s foot injury isn’t as bad as Matt Spaeth‘s Lisfranc sprain, Bell could be sidelined for “a while.”
Bell’s injury is believed to be a mid-foot sprain, which could be a troublesome injury for him given the nature of the position he plays. There’s almost no chance he plays in either of the team’s remaining preseason games and it appears as though he could miss some time to start the season.
Jonathan Dwyer had a pretty good showing against the Redskins last night, so there’s a good chance he could be Bell’s replacement if he’s unable to play in Week 1.
We’ll have more as the news is available.
