The Steelers front office continues to sign draft picks at a record pace thanks to the new CBA rookie salary cap and of course their own imposed rookie pool of funds. According to our friend Chuck Finder at CBS Sports: The Steelers reached agreements with two more draftees, meaning six of their nine picks have come to terms. Seventh-rounders David Paulson, a TE from Oregon, and Texas A&M CB Terrence Frederick — drafted six spots apart — reached the requisite four-year deals. Paulson, drafted at number 240 overall which makes him the teams 7B pick (compensatory), will compete for a backup job at tight end with David Johnson, Weslye Saunders, and Jamie McCoy for what is most likely only 1 roster spot left. Heath Miller and Leonard Pope will fill the two primary tight end roles on the team. His strength is in the passing game, with good hands and a quick first step off the line.
