Police found banned steroids inside the home of Oscar Pistorius and believe the Olympic track star may have killed his girlfriend in an alcohol-fueled, 'roid rage, according to reports. The drugs were found during a search of Pistorius' Pretoria, South Africa estate along with a bloodied cricket bat, said police. Investigators said the "Blade Runner" sprinter might have used the bat to smash model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp's skull before shooting her to death in the brutal Valentine's Day attack. "Steroid drugs were found at Pistorius' home together with evidence of heavy drinking," a source close to the investigation told The Sun of London. "Police have specifically ordered that he be tested for steroids," the source said of the 26-year-old double amputee. "There was lots of blood on the bat," said the source.  "Forensic tests will show whose blood it was." The Sun claims the 29-year-old Steenkamp's skull was crushed and that Pistorius used the bat to beat her as she defended herself during a fight.  She was reportedly shot four times through a locked bathroom door. Police had been at the Pistorius home two hours before the shooting because the couple had been fighting. Investigators are looking into whether a late-night text from South African rugby star Francois Hougaard set Pistorius off.  Hougaard was a friend of both Pistorius and Steenkamp and they regularly exchanged tweets with each other. After Steenkamp's death, Hougaard tweeted a photo of the three of them at dinner with friends. Pretoria police have declined to comment on the reports of the steroids and bloody bat but have charged Pistorius with murder. Pistorius claims he mistook the model for an intruder. He is due back in court Tuesday — the same day Steenkamp's friends and family will gather for a memorial service in Port Elizabeth.
