Steve Sullivan is no longer a Pittsburgh Penguin. Via TSN:
The Phoenix Coyotes signed free agent winger Steve Sullivan to a one-year, $1.85 million contract with bonuses on Wednesday. The 37-year-old veteran is coming off a strong season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, having tallied 17 goals and 48 points in 79 games.
This was generally expected for the last little while. Apparently Shero told him to explore other offers. Sullivan is getting a raise from the $1.5 million he was paid last season, so things worked out pretty well for him.

If this is true, it will be interesting to see what happens next. The Penguins aren't in a situation where they need to panic and immediately trade for someone now and the free agency market is pretty...

It took workers nine months to make the Civic Arena, the Pittsburgh Penguins’ former home affectionately nicknamed “The Igloo,” go from this…

Now, no one would be expected to sit through nine months worth of video or photos of each stage of demolition, because really, who has the time or want to undertake such...
The Pittsburgh Penguins are playing a big role in the Zach Parise Watch. With what is believed to be a 12-year, $96 million offer, the Penguins are attempting to make Parise the richest free agent in the history of Pittsburgh sports. He is fielding offers from the Penguins, New Jersey Devils, Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks. His choice is simple. Parise can go home to Minnesota...
By the third day of the Parise hostage situation it was becoming clear that the Penguins weren't going to land Zach Parise.
Any disappoint out there is really misplaced arrogance not believing that any player wouldn't want to play in Pittsburgh.
There are two players that deserve 13 year contracts.
One, Sidney Crosby, got his Sunday.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is a fantastic city for sports. Whether you are catching a Steelers game at Heinz Field, a Pirates game at PNC Park or a Penguins game at CONSOL Energy Center, the atmosphere is somewhat magical. I had the pleasure of attending a game at Mellon Arena prior to the final Penguins...
