Here's everything I know about the world of sports. I thought you should know it too. . Will somebody please tell ESPN that there are other teams playing in the NBA besides Jeremy Lin and his New York Knicks? For those of you suddenly jumping on the Knicks bandwagon, forget about it. They have no chance to defeat the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls if those two teams stay healthy. . Twenty-five points and 29 rebounds? How did Ersan Ilyasova of the Milwaukee Bucks ever put together that kind of game last Sunday? Where did that come from? Spring fever has hit as spring training has started in Florida and Arizona. Last year, the five Milwaukee starting pitchers, Yovani Gallardo (17), Zack Greinke (16), Shaun Marcum (13), Randy Wolf (13) and Chris Narveson (11) combined for 70 victories. What are the chances those same five guys can win 70 games again this year? If they do, Milwaukee wins the NL Central Division title. . Speaking of Brewers pitchers, what are the chances that closer John Axford repeats last year's brilliant performance? I thought Axford would fall apart last year, and he proved me wrong. But can he pitch this season like he did in 2011? I don't think so. He'll pitch well but not like last year. . If I'm running the Green Bay Packers, I'm drafting the best rush-type linebacker and defensive lineman I can find in the first two rounds. . Be honest. Do the Milwaukee Bucks excite you at all? They don't me. And remember where you heard it first. Once the contract of Brandon Jennings expires, he's gone. But how many teams really want him? I've always been a Marquette Warriors fan, but is there anyone out there that thought MU would be 11-3 through Sunday in the Big East? I didn't think so. And they're winning with two of their big guys out of the lineup. . I'm still trying to figure out how good the Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team is. Wisconsin stands at 9-5 in the Big Ten after Sunday. They appear to be a lock to make the NCAA tourney. But for some reason, I still have some doubts. . With Selection Sunday about three weeks away, three teams appear to be locks for No. 1 seeds. Those three are Syracuse, Kentucky and Missouri. My guess is North Carolina is going to get the final top spot. Ohio State is my next choice. . NASCAR is the only sport that opens the season with it biggest event, the Daytona 500. I've got Tony Stewart winning Sunday's 500. I see Carl Edwards running second. . Speaking of the Daytona 500, I think Danica Patrick is totally overmatched running with those NASCAR guys. . The $64,000 question for the Brewers this year is this. Can Mat Gamel hit Major League pitching? Can he hit 280? Can he hit with power? I don't think so. . Speaking of the Brewers , I think Carlos Gomez will be the starting center fielder on opening day. I could see him batting second in the order that day. Does Shaun Marcum have any chance to be successful this year after his disastrous post-season? I think he's going to struggle. . Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic will not finish the season with that team. He changes his story all the time. But look for Howard to be moved within the next six weeks. I see him playing for the Los Angeles Lakers. . Problem children Randy Moss and Terrell Owens were out of the NFL football last year despite being tied for the second-most touchdown receptions in league history. They want back this year. I'm guessing there are not many teams standing in line to sign either one. Copyright 2012 Journal Sentinel, All Rights Reserved.
