Uncle Phil's Misguided Children.
Shiny purple helmet? Shiny purple helmet. Via Dr. Saturday.
TCU begins its first Big 12 campaign in earnest this weekend against Iowa State. The Horned Frogs took care of Kansas in its first Big 12 game, but now it faces the onslaught eight straight weeks of conference play that starts with the Cyclones, and ends with Oklahoma. But that's apparently not keeping the school down as it prepares to debut a shiny new helmet this weekend.
As shown in the photo above, Uncle Phil's Misguided Children at Nike have been busy as usual in its ongoing assault on the aesthetics of college football. TCU will be emulating Oregon with this wery shiny purple chrome helmet. It makes sense in a way, as a matte purple helmet doesn't really provide a pretty mental picture.
