Over the last few years, Detroit artist Mark Penxa has produced an ongoing series of original sports portraits called Stealing Signs, an homage to American sports legends past to present. The unique twist? Stealing Signs is a 100% crowd sourced series, where sports fans nominate and select which athletes are painted next.

In light of Tebow’s trade, Mark has painted “Timmy and the Jets” seen above, and is running a “Tebow-nanza Moving Sale,” offering $50 off all available Stealing Signs paintings through this Sunday, March 25th. Act fast – his paintings tend to move quickly!

Additionally, Mark would like to offer Cosby Sweaters readers the chance to win a custom commissioned sports portrait – any athlete of your choosing – valued at $300! To enter, simply leave a comment on this post predicting what position the Broncos will draft with their 4th round pick. On draft day, readers who correctly predicted the position will be pooled and a winner will be selected at random.

More of Mark’s work, including a gallery of sports art commissions can be seen at http://markpenxa.com/. Check out the “Tebow-nanza Moving Sale” while it’s hot, and be sure to comment below for your chance to win a custom painting!
