The University of Tennessee has finally found its next head football coach and have decided to hire Cincinnati Bearcats football coach Butch Jones, according to sources. Tennessee has scheduled a 2:30 press conference to announce Jones' hiring at the school. The University of Cincinnati has already confirmed and announced Jones' resignation at the school. Butch Jones replaced Brian Kelly three seasons ago after Kelly left the school to become Notre Dame's new football coach. Jones went 23-14 in his three seasons at Cincinnati and won a share of the Big East title his final two seasons at Cincinnati. Jones won the Liberty Bowl last season and has his team in the Belk Bowl this year playing the Duke Blue Devils. Jones replaces Derek Dooley who went 15-21 in his three years at Tennessee. Under Dooley, Tennessee recorded a losing season in three straight seasons for the first time since 1909-1911 seasons.

The Bearcats Get Win 8 in Historic Fashion

The Cincinnati Bearcats improved to 8-0 on the season with an 87-53 win over UALR tonight. They used a school record 23 steals to completely baffle the Trojan ball handlers. The press was magnificent. The middle of it especially caused a lot of pressure. Justin Jackson ended up with a career best 4 steals. No. 11 Cincinnati 92, Md.-Eastern Shore 60

Cashmere Wright got ready to shoot a long 3 from the left wing, thought better and pulled the ball in. When the defender didn't respond, he fired away and swished it. Cincinnati's senior point guard seems to be getting better at deciding when to shoot and when to pass, one of the things the 11th-ranked Bearcats want to see as they get ready for Big East play. Wright set...

Bearcats Beat UMES with the Greatest of Ease

For the 11th time in school history, the Cincinnati Bearcats are 9-0. I didn't have to look that up because Tommy G said that roughly 49,823 times during the broadcast. Maryland Eastern-Shore is very bad. Cincinnati is very good. That was the story of the game. There is a week off before the Bearcats play again, so this game got the job done as an exercise in ass kicking.  ...
