Tennessee Volunteers defensive tackle Charles Mosley was injured in a car accident on Sunday.
The freshman down lineman that racked up 20 tackles, eight sacks and four forced fumbles at Memphis’ Brighton High School before enrolling at Tennessee in May, reportedly has suffered a broken leg.
According to the Times Free Press, the four-star recruit could have other injuries associated with the accident.
How this will impact his outlook for seeing the field at all in 2014 is up in the air as coach Butch Jones stated that the team was “awaiting further details” on his situation.
The 6-foot-5, 374-pounder rejected offers from Auburn and Georgia among others to be a part of an invigorated Vols program that arguably has the best recruiting class that the SEC has seen in sometime.
The details are shady on Mosley’s future for now, but as they emerge we will keep you in the loop.
