As much as some Raiders fans want Terrelle Pryor to be their starting quarterback this season, I don’t see it happening. During OTA’s he was very unimpressive and now during minicamp he’s still having trouble throwing the football.
Terrelle Pryor continues to not show much improvement … wobbly, inaccurate passes
— Vic Tafur (@VicTafur) June 11, 2013
You might think to yourself, ‘it doesn’t matter, it’s only minicamp or OTA’s.’ You’re right in one sense. But when a quarterback has trouble making NFL throws with no pass rush coming after him, that’s not a good sign at all.

Losing Shane Lechler might sting for some Raiders fans, but rest assure you should be happy. Your punter Marquette King is a beast. While he is in competition right now with Chris Kluwe, King is practicing to break records. At Kohl’s Kicking Camp King nailed this 89 yard punt in the air. This is a must see. I see a record being broken soon in the NFL.
Almost as worthless as mock drafts are (draft guru Mel Kiper Jr. got only one draft pick right this year), spring and summer NFL season previews aren’t far behind. As with mock drafts though, we need and love them even though they may not mean as much as we’d like. Here is my preview for the upcoming 2013-14 NFL season for the Oakland Raiders
Tuesday was the first day of Raiders mandatory minicamp, so let’s check in on the offense to see how it’s doing.
Terrelle Pryor throws a quick pass to a receiver that had no idea the ball was coming. Someone got the play wrong.

When Oakland Raiders owner mark Davis abruptly fired Public Relations Director Zak Gilbert, many close to the team saw it as a reminder to the rest of the staff that they're officially put on notice to shape up or ship out. Jobs could be in jeopardy, especially GM Reggie McKenzie's. Looks like Reggie can breath a little easier. Davis sat down with Monte Poole of the Bay...

Coming into every season the last five years, Oakland Raiders’ fans could expect two things; getting plenty of penalty flags thrown against them and Darren McFadden going down to injury. For the first few seasons of McFadden’s career he was backed up by Michael Bush who could easily replace McFadden’s production whenever he went...
The Oakland Raiders signed kick returner/ wide receiver Josh Cribbs to a one year deal this offseason. Though he visited with many teams prior to the Raiders, he remained unsigned over a concern he would not be ready to play due to a knee injury. Looks like those teams were right because according to Vic Tafur, Cribbs is going to be out until at least training camp.
It looks like Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie has found another impact undrafted free agent this year in Conner Vernon.
The 6-foot wide receiver out of Duke was the ACC’s all-time leader in both reception and receiving yards, which proves that Vernon has what it takes to become a go-to receiver. Vernon is also a high character guy who puts in his fair share...
Batted balls. Wounded ducks. Interceptions. Passes into the turf.
The Oakland Raiders opened their three-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday with a passing offense that looks far from a finished product.
From presumed starter Matt Flynn to the only returning quarterback Terrelle Pryor to rookie Tyler Wilson, none of the quarterbacks fighting to replace Carson Palmer as the starter...

The 6’5 240 pound Terrelle Pryor has continued to struggle at mini-camp and it looks as though he is destined to become the number three quarterback this year for the Oakland Raiders. When Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie decided to trade the overpaid and overrated Carson Palmer this off-season it looked like Pryor would have...

Much like the trend that brought Will & Grace and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy to popular culture in the late ’90s, it seems that LGBT-themed clothing has become all the rage in the sports world. Just Tuesday, we brought you the story of Nike’s LGBT rainbow sneakers.

With the departures of Desmond Bryant, Richard Seymour and Tommy Kelly, Oakland Raiders defensive lineman Lamarr Houston will enter training camp as the elder statesman of the Raiders front seven. Not only will Houston be expected to take on a leadership role on the team, he is also expected to be the Raiders most important player on defense.
On paper, the Raiders defensive...

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen is looking for Denarius Moore to step up and be their number one receiver this coming season. /”He’s a guy that we’re counting on being our No. 1 receiver,” Allen said of Moore via the Contra Costa Times. “But we need all those guys. … At the end of the day, we’ll have five, maybe six receivers that have a chance to help this...
