Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub will see a specialist Tuesday to determine if his foot injury is season-ending. Schaub suffered a Lisfranc injury in a victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 6. Houston had a bye last week. “We’ll keep our fingers crossed," Texans coach Gary Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle. "We’ve got a couple of opinions we’re working with right now, but we’ll hold out hope with Matt." If Schaub requires surgery, he will be placed on season-ending injured reserve. The Texans, who are tied for the best record in the AFC at 7-3, worked out five quarterbacks Monday. Schaub, who has started every game since the opening of 2009, has passed for 2,479 yards and 15 touchdowns for the AFC-leading Texans. Matt Leinart, a former first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals, will start for the Texans against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
