THAT WINNING FEELING.

Posted November 18, 2013

GREAT weekend for football!

Both of my teams won behind solid play from their back-ups (although I get the impression that Nick Foles will soon be handed the Starting job in regards to the EAGLES).

On top of THAT, both of my fantasy teams won this week. In one of those games I'll officially complete a sweep of my girlfriend, who has said she will need some "cheering up".

Even when LeSean McCoy went out  before the half with and injury, he'd already gotten me 14 points, so it wouldn't have been panic time. When he and Foles hooked up on that 47 yarder, I just knew I was getting the double-down on that TD. SO of course when McCoy was out at the 3 I was a pile of salt. In fact the only 2 moments when I wanted to punch my television was that moment and when Brandon Jacobs vultured a TD from Andre Brown. ( I was HEATED over that!)

Despite Andy's first loss, all in all though it was a fine, fine day!

  • Common dude...Brandon did what he needed do when he was inserted into the game. Coughlin wanted a bulldozer making certain they got the TD. Andre Brown didn't look upset over it anyway. Besides, I recall you don't think too highly of Andre Brown anyway.
  • I had Brown last year and when I put him in he sucked and when I left he on the bench he rocked. It wasn't Brown I wasn't pleased with, just my timing. Now David Wilson on the other hand, is garbage truck juice. That guy puts the ball on the ground so much, he may need to develop a cross-over just to prolong his career.

But seriously, right before Brown was pulled he (with help) took it 4 yards to the 1. Common decency says you give the guy first crack at the tud.
  • I agree that Brown should have got the chance to stick it in the end zone...he did most of the work to get the Giants down there. I also can't argue the point about Wilson, I thought he had the potential to be a really good back. But he seems to go down too easy in traffic. He can be electrifying when he gets the ball in space, but not so much inside the tackles. He may be done anyway if his neck injury is worse than they first thought.
  • Good week for you Flip.
  • Last week was a blast, but I may have to pay for it THIS week.

I have Nick Foles and Phillip Rivers on both of my fantasy teams. This week Foles is on bye and Rivers is drawing KC as an opponent. SO, on one team I'm trusting Josh McCown (since I'm also starting Matt Forte and Alshon Jeffrey). The dilemma is my other team.

I'm torn between the RAIDER Matt McGloin; Tampax Gay *uckingqueer Mike Glennon; Miami Dufus Ryan Tannehill; orn Cleveland Brown-eye Jason Campbell. Each has his good points, but each also comes with some caveats you can't ignore.
  • I could shoot myself in Fantasy. I picked up Rainey and Carson palmer and played neither. talk about stupid. In 5-7 and almost out. May get lucky but doubt it. Mccoy on bye doesnt help.
  • I wouldn't call that stupid. Neither was a proven guy this year, so it makes sense that you would take a wait and see approach to them both.

I wanted the EAGLES to draft Rainey back in 2012 http://www.yardbarker.com/forum/3/57/discussion/this_is_it_last_one_i_swear_i_think/10647523 (BWest 2.0 with better Draft Day knees). I have Shady on my team that is a playoff MORTAL LOCK, but the team I repeated with is 6-5 and needs help. I'm facing my 8-3 division leader and I have no Nick Foles this week.

I think I'll go with Glennon since he has the best weapons of all my options, and Detroit has trouble reaching QB's (16 sacks in 10 games), and only 8 teams have allowed more points.
