We’re now just four days away from kicking off the 2013 Louisville football season, which means the pigskin is where your focus should be right now. However, it’s also worth noting that we’re only 73 days away from basketball season.
I’m not exactly sure when it was released, but the updated and official Louisville basketball roster is now posted at GoCards.com

It could be a typo, but walk-on’s Logan Baumann, Michael Baffour and Jordan Bond are not listed...

Superstar Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater gets lovey-dovey with a teddy bear for a magazine cover photo.
This particular Louisville Cardinals fan decided to dedicate his lawn to the Cardinals football team and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Despite the state bleeding blue for Kentucky Wildcats basketball this fan decided to paint “State of Louisville” in his outline of the state on the lawn. Definitely have to give the creator some major props for this creation, doing something...
Jeff Goodman of ESPN recently caught up with former Cardinal and current Detroit Piston Peyton Siva to talk about next year’s Louisville team.
The same day that Lindy’s Sports snubbed the Cards, ranking them No. 7 in their preseason poll, Siva made some pretty strong comments about the 2013-14 team.
“They really aren’t missing anything,” Siva tells Goodman.

Auburn will face the Louisville Cardinals to open the 2015 season in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta.
As an opponent to the University of Louisville football program this season one of my biggest concerns may be an area that likely doesn’t get enough consideration. The Defensive Line.
With the interior presence of veterans Brandon Dunn and Roy Philon you have the nucleus of the line that defines strength within. The two modest size anchors combine for 590 pounds of force up...
Louisville junior defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin was the victim of a hit & run accident this morning on the University of Louisville’s campus. Multiple witnesses have come forward, claiming Mauldin was driving a moped heading north on Floyd Street near the KFC Yum! Center practice facility. A car turning off of Floyd St. and on to Hahn Street hit Mauldin and then fled the scene...
I already gave some thoughts on the Louisville offense, now let’s talk about the defense.
Along the defensive front, no shockers here. Louisville will have Lorenzo Mauldin and Marcus Smith starting at defensive end, with Brandon Dunn and Roy Philon holding it down in the middle. I expect those four to be very productive for the Cards this year, and in particular, I believe Marcus...
While the 2013 college football season is just getting underway, programs are always looking to the future. Today, it was announced that the 2015 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game will feature the Louisville Cardinals and Auburn Tigers. The Chick-fil-A game looks to be one of the premiere opening weekend events each season.

Courier-Journal beat writer C. L. Brown caught up with Lorenzo Mauldin after practice Wednesday, a few hours after he was released from the hospital following a hit-and-run accident.
