The Sporting Blog:
Things are not good for the Bills right now. As if losing to the Browns and Derek "2-for-17" Anderson wasn't enough, a giant statue of Bills legend Thurman Thomas has gone missing. Because an 8-foot tall tree statue weighing more than 1,000 lbs. isn't the kind of thing you just misplace, foul play is suspected.
For those of you not from the Buffalo area, read up on that October 2006 storm here.
Whether it was a bunch of drunks -- as Detective DJ Jickster thinks -- with a truck or loggers searching for firewood, people are ignoring the most logical conclusion: The statue realized Derek Anderson was nearby, so it came to life and sprinted away in an attempt to save itself from being hit by a stray pass.
