The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Packers 30 @ St. Louis 20   10/21/2012   By Eric Judd   @ericjuddTSHQ   The Good Aaron Rodgers, MVP #2? THUMBS UP!   Aaron Rodgers. Can we all agree that Aaron Rodgers is, head and shoulders, better than any other Quarterback in the NFL? When he is on his game, he is unstoppable. Completely. No matter the opponent, Rodgers will beat them. One of the hardest things to deal with, aside from how incredible Aaron Rodgers can be, and his painful commercials, is just how many teams passed on him in 2005. Looking back over the 22 teams that passed on the “discount double check”, 1 team (New Orleans and Drew Brees) wouldn’t trade their QB for Aaron Rodgers. Ok, maybe 2 (RG3 and the Redskins). That includes pro-bowlers Phillip Rivers, Tony Romo, Cam Newton and Matthew Stafford. Aside from the Tom Brady in the 6th round, legend, Aaron Rodgers at #24 has to be one of the greatest draft gems of all time. Jerk.   The Bad   Got the munchies, rook? Janoris Jenkins. How quickly the tides can turn. Earlier this season, certain people who like to write about the NFL, were singing the praises of Janoris Jenkins, and how the Rams stole the best defensive back in the 2nd round of the draft. Janoris, meet Aaron Rodgers. Prior to week 7, Jenkins hadn’t played a QB of Rodgers’ caliber, and boy, did it show. Jenkins got owned. Plain and simple. Those are called growing pains. Don’t worry rook, it’ll get better. Hopefully. For your sake.   The Ugly   Where’s that big Dougie Smile?! Home Field Advantage. This game, more than any other typifies how the Dallas Cowboys are no longer America’s team. The Packers can travel, outside of their division and blow how the home crowd. Yes, I realize it isn’t a cross-country jaunt from Lambeau to St. Louis, but come on Rams!? Are you really going to get drowned out by a bunch of cheeseheads? Unacceptable. Thank goodness, Green Bay isn’t coming to fair weather Arizona. University of Phoenix can, way too often, look too mottled to be called the Red Sea. Maybe the speckled sea   The Sequel   Offensive Guard. AKA. The Big Sexy Chance Warmack. Chance Warmack has been called the safest pick in this year’s draft. He is a rock-solid prospect at offensive guard. He is very good in pass protection and even better in the run game. Like DeCastro and Watkins and Iupati, Warmack could easily find himself in the middle of the first round, as the NFL finally starts to accept that the offensive line is a Left Tackle and 4 other guys. If Green Bay is fortunate enough to have Warmack fall into their lap, late in the first round General manager Ted Thompson would be happy to write his name down. Les Snead and the Rams could be more proactive, taking the safest player on their board, to help improve, and solidify the future of the franchise.
