There are just over two weeks until the NHL draft and Avalanche Nation is still split between drafting center Nathan MacKinnon or defenseman Seth Jones.
When it comes to this choice, the decision is tough. Both are good players who will help the Avalanche team going forward and both have unique skill sets. It is as tough a decision as there has been in just about any draft. It is so narrow that fans are flipping coins to have the decision made for them and that coin has been landing on its side. At this point, even the coins do no want to decide.
However, there is one factor, one that ranks higher than any other when it comes to Seth Jones: skating. Avs fans know from the Erik Johnson experience that a big defenseman, no matter how talented he is, is only as good as his skating.
