The Miami Hurricanes unveiled their first big uniform changes since 2006 at SunLife Stadium earlier today, showing off four new jerseys that’ll be wearing starting next season. Nike designed each of the four, which are nicknamed Juice (orange), Stormtrooper (white), Surge (green) and Smoke (gray).
While the incredibly-detailed jerseys are pretty great, my favorite part of the Canes’ new look is definitely the sexy helmet. Great job by Nike delivering a huge upgrade on The U’s new digs, and now we know why Hurricanes players reacted like this when they got their first look at them:

University of Miami offensive lineman Hunter Knighton said Saturday he was hospitalized with heat stroke and spent nearly two weeks on a ventilator following a late-February workout.
Unknowingly suffering from the flu at the time, Knighton said his body temperature reached 109 degrees and he was placed on a ventilator for 12 days after the Feb. 24 incident.

The reaction was epic, and took me back to college. The Canes staff did an amazing job of building the anticipation before the players lost their minds. The uniforms were so crazy, Duke Johnson had to do the Bernie.
Nike jumped the gun on The U and released pictures of the new uniforms before the school did. Regardless, here are the picture of the new uniform. Some interesting things going on here. An orange helmet. The “blended clam” is still in the picture. Supposedly there are over 50 combinations between the three different helmets, jerseys and pants.

4/13/14: Howdy! This week’s recruiting activity was highlighted by Miami’s annual U-NITE spring game at Sun Life Stadium yesterday. UM hosted more than twenty 2015-16 prospects at the game.
Amid all the excitement around the game and the introduction of the new uniforms, the Canes received two big verbal commitments from RB Dexter Williams and SDE Scott Patchan.
The Miami Hurricanes have been on a tear since that disappointing series loss against Virginia at home last month. Looking ahead, they will have every opportunity to continue their run of good form, starting this weekend in their series against ACC newcomer Pittsburgh at Mark Light Field.
